Ive watched this film so so many times now but it still makes me incredibly happy. Laughing and crying and then more laughing the whole way through. Driss and Philip at the opera is one of the funniest scenes ever made.
I do think there are a lot of problems with Omar Sy’s character. It’s clearly a film made by people who view his background from an outside perspective. Although you absolutely love Driss, he is written like a characture. I think the review I liked puts it very well in more detail.
