Mickey 17 2025
Bong Joon Ho has established himself as one of the greatest living directors. In his films he addresses class, imperialism, colonialism, culture, and animal liberation. Mickey 17 takes on every one of these themes, making it feel overpacked. He has such a distinct and playful directorial voice and vision. Alongside this and Robert Pattinson’s super silly performance, I totally did not care about how thematically stuffed this was. I had a great time. The jung jaeil score may be my favorite part.

A Real Pain 2024
What I loved most about this movie is the lack of dawdling around. Exploring these intimate narratives and character dynamics in a tight 90 is refreshing. Kieran Culkin was really fantastic.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023

Drive 2011
It’s such a shame that incel culture has connected itself so closely with a great film and a really dope jacket.
I’ve been goofing on this film for a long time for it’s pretentious and misogynistic fan base, buuuut I get it. Ryan Gosling, Bryan Cranston, Carey Mulligan. I get it.
All I want to do is drive now 😈
