Anora 2024
film that pissed me off so much it stopped all my letterboxd progress because i couldn't phrase all of my thoughts in the review properly. luckily i recently read Romance Labor: on Sean Baker’s Anora, a well-written, clear-eyed review which encapsulates all of my critiques as well as considering issues i couldn't even parse in my own viewing.
maybe one day i will do a proper write-up for this because i have sooo much hate in my heart, but for now: i hope sean baker takes that oscar and brains himself with it ❤️
