My Own Private Idaho 1991
This Gus Van Sant movie is so 90s in its' aesthetic, so Greek tragedy in its' plot points, and, at times, so Shakespearean in its language, it's no wonder it made it into the Criterion Collection. Such a unique film. 90s cinema is the best cinema.

Ok, I saw this when it first came out, but I re-watched it because I've grown up a lot since then. This is my perspective now.
I like what this is saying about unrealistic expectations on others and love, the mistake of believing you have to find "the one," and thinking you are owed the girl you've latched onto because you're a "nice guy."
