Treasure Planet 2002
This film is far from perfect, but when it's good, it's really good.
The highlight of the film might be the most obvious aspect of it; its aesthetics and visual style. Blending retro sci-fi with 1700s age-of-sails visuals creates a perfect blend in which aliens crew on steampunk, solar-powered sailships through space. It's a style I wish we could see more often, and I genuinely don't understand why we haven't.
