a lot was happening, and also somehow nothing happened, and i think that is beautiful
***I agree that society is desperately in need of a proper BLACK comedy à la Friday (1995). However, the writers here seem to forget the most important ingredient in crafting that sort of story—soul—something for the audience to come back to, not just chuckle and move on.

This film introduces itself with tension, anxiety and paranoia. And somehow manages to only escalate from there. It opens with a load of questions that you hope get answered soon.It doesn't initially present itself as the type of horror it really is, which gives it room to grow. You're lured in by the angst, the characters and their obscure relationships and then blindsided at nearly every corner…

A part of me is sad that I'll never experience the first twelve minutes of this film again. That said, things did slow down almost drastically after this point.
