  despite all the hate, it iks a great remake of the 1922 mute movie Nosferatu. A lot of scenes were identical to the original, which i appreciated because i love when a remake doesnt completely upset the whole point of the movie. The cinematography was incredible.   really simple yet higly symbolic. The warm color palette and the static framing are really specific for this movie.
  it's meant to be a slow movie, and sometimes for some people it may be difficult to follow even tho the plot is linear. I find it extremely nostalgic and bittersweet, thanks to the incredible soundtrack by Yann Tiersen.
  Amélie is depicted as a weird girl, with a difficult and distant relationship with her parents. But still she doesnt fall under the "manic pixie girl" effect, making her, her own character, with her own backstory and complicate in her simplicity.
