one of the best opening scenes in a movie i’ve seen, such a wave of emotions that was so overwhelming upon my first watch.
this movie perfectly captures the classic bong joon ho mood of an oppressive, capitalistic atmosphere, but some of the plot felt lost to me, personally not as profound as people make it out to be, but i enjoy it nonetheless.
i was thinking this was going to be one of my favorite movies ever up until the last quarter of the movie the plot had so much unused potential :/ still such an amazing movie though and probably one of my favorite ghibli films.
