very first watch through of this and as a film regarded as a cinematic classic i expected a bit more from it. many people say more than one watch is necessary, but i think it struggled against itself in every theme it wanted to portray at once. the moments that were meant to highlight just how hilarious it is that every materialistic thing the main cast holds dear is at the core pointless did deliver, especially the running bit about business cards. every murder scene had a disconnected feeling, which i assume is the point in some way. i just feel like it lacked a cohesiveness.
