  I went into this movie with low expectations due to all the hate surrounding it, but I was pleasantly surprised. While some of the original songs didn’t resonate with me, others did, leaving me with mixed feelings about the soundtrack. I wasn’t a fan of Gal Gadot’s portrayal of the Evil Queen, especially her singing. However, despite the backlash over the dwarfs’ design, I ended up really liking them—they were actually quite cute.   Emilia Pérez has a great trama but I believe the idea wasn’t well executed. The songs feel like they were just words of conversations put into songs that would’ve been better if they were just conversations. I think the songs were really unnecessary and the fact that it won best Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy over wicked haunts me.
