This Saturday MGE members came together to watch the pivotal cyberpunk film Akira in celebration of director Katsuhiro Otomo's birthday. It was the first time for some and the tenth time for others, but a remarkable film to all. Akira was unexpectedly profound yet disturbing, with an impressive level of destruction displayed on screen.
