Leaves you with a very specific type of emotional loneliness when it’s over. Space is such a perfect setting for melancholy and each episode builds on the next in a subtle but eventually perfect way.
Interestingly, I think the series’ peak is in the middle with episode 13 and the stories on either side serve to support that shining moment.
Bebop often does more with 3 lines of dialogue than some movies can with an hour of runtime.
Makes you think, makes you feel, and it’s all just so … cool
(In a way I don’t think that word exists much anymore)
