Although they are billed as producers, you can still see the the overt influence from the brothers Safdie all over this middling film. Without the insectile sound design and the claustrophobia-inducing use of extreme close ups, this film would be nothing more than a poignant examination of 'unrequited love'. In its unfortunate form however, it is an unnecessarily long masturbation session between cinematographer and director. I skipped ahead and found that I had missed nothing.
