i can't remember the last time i sat in the movie theater and heard people laughing through the first half and sobbing the second half. it was so good. really enjoyed it. i loved pulling into the movie theater parking lot and knowing we were in the right place by the sheer amount of chinese families we saw. my boyfriend saw his long lost roommate, a college professor, and a few people from his church. even though i was the only white girl there i never felt more connected to china's legends and storytelling prowess. five out of five.

Love Hurts 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
To everyone saying there was no love in this movie, I have a few key notes.
Have you never seen someone look at another person with admiration in their eyes?
Have you never felt your heart beat faster because you are about to die and also because your longtime heartbreaker is in the same room as you?
Don’t you know that love shared in moments of danger is stronger than any love shared in a bedroom?

Changeland 2019
I think the problem with a lot of the reviews for this movie is that people expect every single story to have a concrete beginning, middle, and end. Instead, movies like this provide us with a really lovely and thoughtful snapshot into someone's life. I thought it would be a funny movie about some guys that go on a trip and get into trouble, but it turned out to be a beautiful and sweet story about friendship and moving on, and there were a lot of moments when I could tell how personal the story was to Seth Green, and how much he loves Thailand.

Never wanted to reach for the *skip* button on my remote more than while watching this movie in the front row of the movie theater! But the colors were really fun and the plot was twisty; there was so much great dialogue and overall I would recommend it to a select audience. I would not recommend to myself 😂
