    The premise is interesting and the execution was well-done. I see this becoming a feature film, with a more robust script and developed characters. What happens after she jumps from the roof and realizes she is, indeed, a robot? Also from the warning about self-harm at the beginning, I thought it would be a different graphic scene.

    Hong Sang-soo's films remind me a lot of Éric Rohmer's own work. The South Korean director focuses solely on building up relationships between characters in exquisite ways.

    Nonetheless, Hong's work can sometimes hit big—or go low. Some of his films can be pretentious (like On the Beach at Night Alone), but Claire's Camera is far from being a miss. Here, Hong nails it right on the head. Isabelle Huppert and Kim Min-hee's chemistry is one of a kind.
