  Great performances, great camera work, great set design but the script just wasnt quite there it .... both Mr Reed and this movie seem to really think that they have a new idea they want me to consider ... both end up falling into cliches and bad arguments.

  An extremely inaccurate retelling of a dead womans life from the perspective of her fictionalized partner. I can tell all parties involved thought they were doing the right thing. But a movie about a trans woman based on a book written by a cis man (when lilis own autobiography is so beautiful) directed by a cis man and starring a cis man was never going to capture the trans experience.
