i throughly enjoyed this story. the subversion of the cinderella story was very interesting, especially in the context of sex work. i like how they tried to show the realities of sex work; not necessarily trying to empower sex workers (think Hustlers), but highlighting the real issues with the industry. although i agree with the sentiment of empowerment, i think it would have been out of place in this movie. i think the ending just highlights ani’s world completely crashing…

wow. this ending? crazy. i was rooting for marta the whole time, and i’m so proud of her for outsmarting those racist fucks. the last 30 minutes were the best part. it did not need to be 2 hours long, though. the first hour could have been cut in half. chris evans you are so sexy!!!!
