A really gut-wrenching account of the day we glossed over way too quickly as a country. An incredibly visceral reminder of the threat of white supremacist terrorism. All the characters weave the story together so well and in a way that really drives home what January 6th means for the country without being explicitly political. Jamie Raskin was especially poignant. Should be essential viewing for everyone.

American Fiction 2023
So good! I don’t usually like movies that get Oscar’s buzz because I find them boring and too serious, but this was anything but. It was so FUNNY and interesting and had some stellar performances, especially from Jeffery Wight (dmv rep). Loved that it didn’t fit neatly into a genre and loved the mild fourth wall breaks.
