Nickel Boys 2024
Dizzying, disorienting—nonetheless captivating. Not as good as other best picture nominees I've seen, but I understand the nomination and would still recommend. Very, very unique. Definitely worth a second watch and plan to do so later this month or next.

The animation and intended theme of this movie keep me from giving it a a lower rating. But everything else -- from the plot, to the actual theme, to the characters -- leave me wanting more from Disney than Raya and the Last Dragon provided.

I, like many others, watched this film to see the much-adored cinematography, "single shot" and all -- and I was not disappointed.
1917 does not highlight the horrors of war in the same way that other movies do; there is not that much actual gore or violence.
