Entertaining watch, strong emotional tone setting
Story was poopy doopy not good, im cool with avant garde dreamlike films with no logical narrative but this one felt like it couldnt decide whether or not it had a legit plot or was just conveying feelings and symbolism for fan theory fodder. Netflix shoulda never cancelled The Get Down

The Brutalist 2024
Ordered 3 coke zeros at alamo to stay awake for this one. Aesthetic masterpiece with strong themes. The cigarette to dialogue ratio was right where I like it to be. The Brutalist’s narrative may even be a beacon of perspective into the peak era of zionist refugee migration, but alas, Adrien Brody’s nose sets society back a few decades once more. It is a long, slow burn, but thoughtful & tasty til the end.
