Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 2024
This film has a compelling narrative and really great characters and VAs, not to mention spectacular effects that immerse you in the dystopian kingdom. My personal problem is that the build-up took two whole hours before delivering a payoff that unfortunately didn’t warrant that amount of time. However, the juxtaposition of the final scene is moving enough for me to say that this movie has plenty of substance for the franchise to go off of.
