For those who enjoy musical adaptions to the big screen I’d recommend seeing this movie. However, it is quite long and some parts feel quite sluggish. As with many people are saying the final 20 minutes do really make this movie as “Defying Gravity” is a song of epic proportions paired with enjoyable CGI.

Hmmm not sure about this one. I think Kurt Russell always plays a good cowboy/sheriff which is definitely the high point of this movie as he and his deputy are essentially the only likable characters. The movie drags on a lot (literally) and you should expect a slow burn with a tiny bit of payoff. The genre blend of horror and western really boils down to just gore and grotesque scenes and frankly I don’t think I’d recommend this movie to many people unless they were hellbent on seeing a “horror western” movie.

A dramatic movie of an old man's resentment towards the world and a victim of the time he was in. I think a lot of people can watch this movie and think of a grandparent or great-grandparent that somewhat fits the mold of who Clint Eastwood portrays in this film. I don't know how to describe it, it is like the opposite of a coming of age movie but coming to peace at the end of your days type film…

Every year at some point I rewatch this film. In my mind, it is a masterpiece of both plot and acting. You can feel the terror of the family, you can see their hope being taken away, and you definitely will feel the uneasiness of the family as well as the world as time goes on. The twist at the end is solid, however I did expect it to be a bit more mind blowing but that is the only thing I would say that would detract from this film's rating.
