    You know that feeling of safety that you normally get by reassuring yourself with the phrase: “It’s just a movie.” ?  That method proves rather ineffective when what you’re witnessing & hearing is the stuff that nightmares are built out of. 

    Longlegs is an immediate addition to the pantheon of amazing horror we’ve had this past decade providing something equally compelling in both unpacking the mystery and dreading what the next clue will reveal. Shockingly even the  occasional comedic elements actually worked here…

    A huge hole was filled in my cinematic journey tonight and a new favorite film of mine has been discovered! PTA manages to make 3 hours feel like 90 minutes here and I don’t think I’ve ever seen an ensemble film handled this well.

    Never found this all that funny, but the romance and horror elements succeed well enough on their own to make this an entertaining 90 minutes. That being said I thought the 3rd act was far better than the rest of the film and I wish everything else was just as good!!
