Brilliant. Gorgeously lit, fantastically paced and really witty movie. Marisa Abela the real standout for me. Amazing writing of half an interrogation around the word “sphincter”. I would like to see more of this. Hollywood respond.

Fantastic visual character design delineating Dylan’s horizontal guitar-planar harmonica setup with Seeger’s elongated, upright 5-string banjo.
I don’t know much about Bob Dylan, but the way this film tells the story using the music, through the music is so powerful! And all of the supporting players coming in and out adding to the music and the story in these meaningful, emotional, sometimes minimal additions that make all the difference.
PS: the banjo player fumbling his way through Whiskey in the Jar is at once incredibly true to American-trad-imitation-bar-slop and massively irritating.
