A very visually pleasing movie. Florence Pugh delivers a nerve wracking performance that keeps you intrigued throughout the entire movie.
At times the movie felt like it was going to be predictable, yet the ending still had me shook to my core.
While it lacks some of the emotion from the original, it’s still a fun time with all of the classic tunes. You know what you’re going to get with James Earl Jones but I thought all the choices for characters turned out really well. Oliver surprised me the most as Zazu brought a nice comedic touch.
Awesome insight into Sir Elton’s rise to fame. We all know the hits, but seeing what he went through to get to the top was an eye opening experience. Taron Egerton absolutely crushed the role throughout the ups and downs. Knowing that Sir Elton helped produce and approves of the film, makes it that much more enjoyable.
