  It’s been upsetting to see how this film is received as time moves on. I’ve seen my fair share of “woke bs” comments about this film, how it “hates white people”, “not even that funny”, and whatnot.   So, Michael Rohn watched “The General” with his mother, a lifelong fan of Buster Keaton, in order to have a nice mother-son bonding experience together.
  I went in expecting some great physical comedy, stunts, elaborate setups, everything you’d want out of a Keaton movie. And I’d say I mostly got that, a little disappointed to see that the gags and comedy were not nearly as impressive or rewarding as they were in “Sherlock Jr.”, there still was plenty of Buster…
