    Alien: Romulus

Honestly, before watching this film I had no real expectations. That being said, I was very pleasantly surprised by 'Alien: Romulus'. The visual effects (for the most part), sound and imagery work really well together to really sell the stakes and tension in the film and really sold the gross-out horror that is so familiar within the Alien franchise.

    Mickey 17

Definitely the weirdest and wackiest film I've seen this year so far.

    ★★★★½

Easily one of the best of 2024. Apart from the overall narrative of the film which in itself is very engaging and interesting, the film is further aided by amazing performances and cinematography. I really hope more people see this film and that different types of people see this film so that it can spark a much needed conversation.
