On second viewing: I definitely appreciate this film more after seeing a good portion of Wong’s work, especially now that I understand his cinematic style and his use of music. (So I guess I can overlook the fact that California Dreamin’ was used ten million times).

Swiss Army Man 2016
Somewhat unpopular opinion-Damn am I disappointed! This had so much potential. I know the directors wanted to create an existentially meaningful film, but Swiss Army Man completely falls short. (Not to mention it poorly uses flatulence and masturbation as metaphors of freedom from societal norms, loneliness, and so on). Altogether, Swiss Army Man was unpleasant and left a bad taste in my mouth. Two and a half stars for Dano and Radcliffe’s acting. (And for my love of Cheetos).
