this one's for the mothers and daughters. there were many small moments i loved in this movie and the third act did not have to hit so hard. i am uncontrollably sobbing

had to see what the hype was about for the #1 highest grossing animated film, and i must say it deserves the hype. it felt like a mix of avengers endgame, demon slayer, attack on titan, and game of thrones. the storyline kept me on my toes and i was blown away by the epic action sequences
the art was gorgeous but sometimes it looked AI-generated to me which was off-putting. maybe i'm not used to the look of donghua/chinese animation
a lego biopic is craaaazy but Pharrell saw the vision 🤩 i think lego was honestly the best medium to tell his story because you can see his music and imagination come to life. it was fun, creative, and exceeded my expectations. what an icon
