I really just did not care for this movie. Perhaps it’s partially due to the fact that I have zero relationship with Barbie?? It took so much work to pay attention to. I found it an odd mix of shallow and juvenile but also deep in the weirdest ways??

i wish this movie was more like the first 15 minutes, but i understand the concept they were going for with the whole grief/trauma twist.
i personally had moments where I thought “really? just fucking say something? help yourself out a bit??” … the damaged-socially-spineless-girl-that-momentarily-holds-her-own trope really just isn’t for me, but hey that’s on trauma.
the sound design and acting = great
CGI, chase scenes, YMCA aliens = midhonestly, i went into this anticipating more horror and was left feeling uninterested and annoyed.

David Arquettes face is so punchable but this movie still stands as an incredibly thought provoking experience - though provoking in the sense that it makes me wonder if ive watched such a terrible movie as many times as I have this one.
