  It feels as if Almodóvar asked ChatGPT to condense every cliché about cancer and terminal illness into a two-hour feature film, complete with embarrassingly banal dialogue, beautiful cinematography, a redundant orchestral score, an unnecessarily clumsy, allusive ending, and character development so shallow it makes it impossible to actually care about them and their struggles.

  I usually like Von Trier a lot, but I guess this one was just too much for me. Had to stop at the hunting + picnic scene. I like the aesthetic of it, photography, sound, directing style, but that's all. Give the guy a good therapist.
