I hated this for the first twenty minutes and almost shut it off. After that it won me over enough to finish it with the humor and the somewhat surprising brutality. I wasn’t crazy about the last fifteen minutes or so either.

It was OK, I guess. It didn’t drag on and overstay it’s welcome, it was mildly funny at times, and some of the kills were imaginative. I didn’t hate it like I thought I was going to at first, but it was mostly forgettable and probably not something I’ll revisit.

Lives up to the title. Some of the best, most gripping driving sequences I’ve seen, and I’m not really into cars.

The cinematography, shot composition, lighting, ambiance, tension- boundless panache. Reminded me of Michael Mann.

I used to think Ryan Gosling was just a pretty face. I was wrong. His performance, physical presence, so good. The way he carries himself and his silence speaks volumes.…
