  Literally knew nothing about this going on except that it was a horror classic and it was so not what I expected. The practical effects were wild and fun and the vibe was just off enough to be goofy but, like, it worked.

  Thought it was just an adaptation of Barker's but he directed the dang thing!! Explains why it was able to balance what it did the way it did.
