  Rewatched after listening to commentary. Of all the 00’s multi-narratives, holds up the best.  Some hokey elements but his way of playing out scenes is so minimal and delicate.

  Enjoyable first hour but then becomes cinematically problematic. Turning genocide into melodrama and using gas chambers as a suspense set piece. Psyche! These aren't gas chambers, they're regular old showers. Fooled you! Meanwhile...

  Produces a nice flavorless gruel malnourished filmgoers will love.

  Warning: Recipe makes more than you want. Will have about 40 minutes of leftovers.
