I don't think it's an issue to start with the ending.. and how the 'artful/ambiguous' final scene was a major botch job- I get the feeling they smashed a bunch of things into the last 20 minutes that could have lasted an hour. But first I should say, this movie could had legs with some more thoughtful editing and anyone even just a bit more competent than Nicolas Cage playing his role.
