Went to see this movie because I want movie executives to know that America is HUNGRY for 2D animation movies but when I asked my friends NOT ONE knew that there was a new Looney Tunes movie being released, it's obvious that the movie was sabotaged by a lack of marketing. The movie itself it's an ode to classical American animation, and aside from a couple of references which horrendously dates the movie, it's a simple Looney Tunes story done well.
Watched this movie for the first time when I was 14, then I immigrated and it became a comfort film that made feel less alone with the alienation I felt in my new country.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I believe there's not enough movies out there that touch upon the brutality of the Australian colonization quite like this movie does, I think a lot of people expected more from the ending as they feel like as expectators we should be rewarded for witnessing such brutality, but considering the circumstances and the insurmountable odds the protagonists go through in the film, we need to put our own satisfaction aside and consider that it is the most realistic revenge our cast could have gotten without breaking the suspension of disbelief
