Ōoku: The Inner Chambers 2023
A lot of SA, retribution is had for each one but still off putting to see displayed on screen the way they show it. The storyline is fascinating and the world and environment is well done and honestly disturbing as far as social issues and historic trauma. I was surprised by how much history I actually learned from this which granted wasn’t monumental but still more than anticipated.
I don’t recommend watching this if you don’t want to see emotional and physical abuse on screen.
