  I'm only halfway through this movie but giving it one more star than I would have, because it offers up an accurate picture of what it's like to be an addict in withdrawal dealing with people who aren't also addicted.

  This was my third viewing, and I realized I rated this movie 5 stars based on the nostalgia of seeing it with close friends at the Midnight Massacre when it was held at Chicago's Music Box Theatre. It didn't impress me as much on a second and third watch. But the re-animated corpse still really freak me out, and who doesn't love Jeffrey Combs? I had kind of a crush on 80s-era Combs, and then his chameolinic recurring roles on three Star Trek series solidified my admiration.

  Not as smart as it thinks it is, with a lot of obvious jokes. But the action is top notch. And Betty Gilpin is fantastic. Her Kill Bill-esque brawl with Hillary Swank is worth the price of admission.
