for decades we’ve seen some video games put out complete stories using nothing but nonverbal dialogue and silent protagonists have become generational mascots. flow is, i think, the closest a movie has ever gotten to achieving that feel of nonverbal storytelling that we get from video games. not to mention the lighting in every shot is absolutely perfect; every frame of this movie could be a computer wallpaper.
