  I don’t know if it’s s the cultural difference but this version felt a little bit more “real” and touchable that made everything stand out a little more. Overall this version feels more grounded to me. In each version, the actors and their performances lend their movie a different personality, but everybody delivers through and through.

  Incredible visuals, locations and atmosphere. Pulled off making a classic story larger than life and handling it with so much respect. 
  Just personally had a hard time sympathizing with Lily-Rose Depp’s character. To me her performance ranged from unserious to okay-ish but it usually felt like overacting. Which is a shame because her character is the backbone of the story. Still amazing movie
