It’s a flawless movie. It doesn’t have the same level of intense creativity other films this year like the brutalist and the substance have to offer, but it’s a timeless masterpiece in itself. I fear this masterpiece will walk away from the Oscar’s empty handed, but I foresee it outliving its fellow nominees when it comes to timeless classics.

It’s definitely going to win best picture. It was so detailed and poetic it’s insane. There’s moments where this movie feels delicate. And then there’s moments where this movie is so brutally vulnerable it’s hard to stomach. Films this year have done a really good job of balancing those two things, but none of them have balanced it as well as The Brutalist. While Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce give the performance of a lifetime, Felicity Jones does not disappoint and Joe Alwyn came to life in the second half of this film. I think it’s a must watch.
