The mental gymnastics that people undergo to interpret the symbolism of this film is an uphill battle in arguing that there is anything of quality to this film besides the acting.
I have no idea what Jordan Peele was trying to say or do with Us. His grasp of horror, thematic combat, and narrative cohesion have a long, long way to go.

So there are two directions this films could have gone:
Mystery-horror in which both the audience and the protagonist are constantly wondering whether the dad is a serial killer or not.
Or
Dramatic-horror which explores the relationship between son and serial killer father.
It tries to do both; It fails at both.
The identity of the killer is obvious to anyone with an IQ over 20 within the first 15 minutes. The next 40 minutes merely provide answers to questions…

Ugh.
So I watched Marvel Movie #2670 and it was just as disappointing as the last Marvel movie I watched(GotG 2). Oddly enough this movie, as far as being different and trying something new is concerned, is better than GotG 2. It's a better than a lot of Marvel movies, to be honest, but by a fairly small margin.

Wonder Woman is, and I do not exaggerate when I say this, the single best super hero movie I have seen in some time. Probably the best one since Winter Soldier.
