Hardly any movie I’ve seen comes close to blending the right amount of comedy, action, sci fi and drama. When they reach the last bar, you really learn that Gary truly does know how broken he is and has masked it. I revisit this one often as it resonates with the themes of being trapped in youth due to lack of direction and peaking as an irresponsible child, requiring you to chase your tail while the world moves forward without you.

A Different Man 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Definitely a top 10 of 2024, one thing I didn’t like was the film glossed over Oswald and Ingrid learning about Edward’s true identity. I felt like Edward being truthful might’ve made him a bit more sympathetic. The ending left me wanting more but in a good way, the story wraps up and Edward does seem more at peace with himself.

Miller's Girl 2024
Editing was kinda sloppy and cinematography felt uneven. By the time it ended it felt so inconsequential cause there’s only one way this story can end that will underwhelm and not take any sort of creative risk, which I find ironic given this is a movie about a creative writing class.
Every scene didn’t show a lot of emotion either which I blame on the directing and not on the actors because everyone involved is great. It was very flat and not in a good way, it wanted to be a steamy forbidden romance but there should have been more awkward tension I think.
