  Actually, I think this would have worked very well as a Netflix series. It is true that, as many are saying, All of Us Strangers is filled with some deeply affecting and terrifically acted scenes. Andrew Haigh after all is known for his excellent direction of domestic intimacy and melodrama. But it's hard to deny that the poignancy eventually started to bleed into schmaltziness here. There are certain levels of sentimentality that are better fit for the middle-brow series format…

  I do not get the appeal. The whole thing felt like a video interlude sequence in an RPG. Or like a cutesy knock off of Lord of the Rings. Was it supposed to have deadpan humor, or was the script just terrible??? Was most of the acting atrocious, or did I mis something?? What was with the corny After Effects titles chaptering throughout the film?

  Very bad. Don’t believe the hype.

  Admittedly I dozed off for like a third of it.
