  I feel odd to give something 5 stars but who cares— I really liked this film. The actors committed, the director just brought it all together—the set design, the costumes…the craziest music..it was a feast. Stoked that so many people saw it and enjoyed it, too.

  Started off fun but just made no sense by the end. The last one was at least rooted in character and place…this one felt like a wannabe Bond mystery in a way. Lame mystery, weird stakes…I feel very much like the odd one out—everyone seems to love this film — but truly, just not for me. Perhaps not surprising— I thought Knives Out was vastly overrated, too.

  Really thoughtful movie that navigates leaving home and adopting a new culture while also being a wistful romance in a non-cloying “what might have been” lens. The lead, Greta Lee, does a masterful job of adapting to a more Korean way of relating to her old friend and then effortlessly gliding into English as she navigates a new life in New York City. Writer/Director Celine Song is tender with her shots and gives her actors ample time to be silent together without anything being boring. Just a really nice film, I am really happy I saw it.
