One Cut of the Dead 2017
I saw the poster and the budget, and I thought to myself, "what a mediocre experience this is going to be." I had eyes, but did not see.
What a beautiful vision this is.
Five minutes in, you're thinking it's okay. It's campier than you expected, and it's silly and it's trying something, and so it's fine.
About 35 minutes in, the long cut ends and you're like, that was better than expected! It held my interest, it did enough…

A Wrestling Christmas Miracle 2020
Despite its alleged $2M budget, this is likely the worst movie I've ever seen. Not in a charming, "look at how silly they were" kind of way, nor in a, "they had a vision and by god they sure tried so hard" kind of way; this was just terrible. It was offensive, it was boring, it failed in every plot thread and every attempt at artistic vision.
This movie redefined for me what it takes to get a half-star. If you're looking for so-bad-it's-funny, this misses and wraps back around to just-bad.
