Ooh, this is some good, juicy stuff! Give me more of this original, compelling, thoughtful, funny science fiction and inject it into my veins!
Just make sure my previous expendable iteration has done it first in case it kills me...

Possibly my favourite movie of the year so far!

Not a bad film by any stretch, but far from the highs of other MCU movies. I thought the action scene set around Tiamut in the ocean was a bit nonsensical, but hey ho... It was at least nice to see that plot thread acknowledged in the MCU since the Eternals in 2021! Some dodgy blue-screen effects towards the end, but otherwise pretty good VFX overall, especially Harrison Ford's Red Hulk.

If you're lost, hurt, tired or lonely, something beautiful will come your way... And it's this film.

What a ride. A beautiful, well made film. Robbie Williams was massive when I was growing up and his music is ingrained in my childhood and adolescence. This peek behind the curtain is an interesting, entertaining, and tragic look at this British icon's life.

It's very good, this. I only realised today that Nosferatu was originally just an unofficial Dracula adaptation, so I never knew how similar the story was.
Everyone involved in this production is firing on all cylinders. Incredible performances, amazing cinematography and top-notch directing. A special acknowledgement to Bill Skarsgård who is literally unrecognisable in the role. Bravo.
Also Willem Defoe is immediately in the running for best line of 2025 with that one about Isaac Newton.
