Really really nice musical. Judy Garland rocks, as do all the other female stars in this film. Given the main feud is between two packs of very different lived-ladies, there was not shortage of talented actresses.

Ray Bolger’s tap number is worth a 1/2 star in itself! It shreds!!

It’s also in Technicolor which always gets me excited. Lots of ladies in pretty dresses AND a western Technicolor??? YES PLEASE!

Some of the songs were a bit long, but I was never bored…. so boom.

Rewatched this film hungover- it’s fun and funny and it’s a pretty safe comedy from the 2000’s. It’s not cursed by much offensive schtuff, and I really dig that.

Very funny scene in the bathroom, hate the weird 30 year old kissing a high schooler though… lost 0.5 a star for that.

    Cayden’s rank: 3.8/5
    Annika’s rank: 4/5

Willem Dafoe really lights up the screen!!!! This film is best held on its pillar of phenomenally acted characters.

Setting cool, creepy and not too jumpy, glad I caught this in the theater.

    I really like this film.

When I was real young, maybe 10 or so, my grandma bought us kids a VHS copy of this movie. Assuming it was just another animated kids film she had no idea the world she opened up.

I could express how much I love how this film looks, but any toucan with eyes can appreciate how beautiful and vibrant the bathhouse and surrounding spaces are, but the audio design?

The score is rich and emotive…
