Longlegs is relentlessly unsettling, with striking cinematography and masterful use of negative space creating unease from start to finish.
It leans too heavily on Silence of the Lambs, a cheap twist involving the devil, and a script filled with stilted, unnatural dialogue, all of which weakens its impact, but the films remains an eerie, entertaining ride. Might have worked better as a mini-series.
Hilarious, fun to watch, and stylistically a *chef’s kiss.” I love a psychological thriller that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and this is delectably unserious. A ridiculous premise supported by pitch-perfect, straight performances makes this film a treat to watch.

A deeply unsettling and surreal film at times, but absolutely beautiful in its writing and execution. I love a film that tackles difficult topics head on—ideas of identity, envy, shame, disability, societal pressures—especially in a unique and, ultimately, thoughtful and universal way.
Gorgeous hair and make-up design, effective cinematography and direction, and powerhouse performances from Sebastian Stan and Adam Pearson.
