If an Elaine and Saul Bass title sequence, scored to Bach, can't get you hyped up, I don't know what will.

Its repetitive course of action aside, what bothers me most about this sequel is its apparent confusion about what it aims to contribute to an already told narrative, failing to clarify what supposedly makes Lucius significant. He seems to drift between the contradictory values of the past, present, and future, and perhaps building his gradual change of perspective around this very conflict could have been the key to creating something truly complex. Even if it intended to do so, it ends up leaving the protagonist's transformation—from a revenge-driven perspective on power to a 'Make Rome Great Again' objective—unconvincing and hollow.

How could you eat a perfectly fuckable pig?

I love how Louis C.K always manages to discuss uncommon phenomena, not from a distance, but by merging his own identity with his comic narration. Generally, that's what every good comedian would do. But this guy is on another fuckin' level. Good to see him back.

So sweet. So lovely. So humane. These three characters can live in my heart rent-free. The movie never loses its well-established tone. The comedy never misses to deliver. The spatial characterization of the campus in the first half plays a major role in building the amazing chemistry between characters and their collective sense of loneliness. Paul Giamatti shines. It's just that... I was hoping for a more complex, less sentimental, and maybe a bit less shabby third act. However, I couldn't care less. The experience was pure joy.
